Education of the future workforce is aligned with current economic trends and supported by a network of 14 universities, including five public institutions.
  • The Szczecin-based Maritime University educates future maritime officers, engineers and specialists in transportation and IT.
  • The scientific endeavors of the Pomeranian Medical University encompass a comprehensive range of medical disciplines, underscored by its diverse and extensive educational courses.
  • The Academy of Art is Szczecin's youngest public university. It educates future graphic designers, musicians and architects.
  • The West Pomeranian University of Technology offers popular courses in computer science, automation, and robotics. The university also educates specialists in the chemical industry, construction and renewable energy engineering.
  • The University of Szczecin stands as the largest university in the region, offering students knowledge across 7 faculties and over 80 courses. Its extensive array of opportunities spans diverse fields of study, encompassing humanities, sciences, natural sciences, technical sciences, and more.

Excellent universities, dedicated students, and a city that caters richly to the demands of the academic market define Academic Szczecin. This initiative has been effectively spearheaded by the Municipality of Szczecin for several years.
Promotion and targeted projects define the Academic Szczecin Program, aimed at enhancing Szczecin's professional and academic potential. This initiative is collaboratively implemented with Szczecin-based academic institutions, local businesses, and the municipal government.
Academic Szczecin also administers various programs aimed at ensuring optimal conditions for students studying in Szczecin and supporting the academic community. These initiatives encompass scholarships and awards conferred by the city's mayor, dedicated housing programs for students and graduates, and a newly launched cooperation platform—an essential service facilitating information exchange between universities, businesses, and local government.
Companies support the Academic Szczecin Program. The engagement of local businesses enables a holistic promotion of Szczecin's academic and professional potential. It is the first such service in Szczecin, dedicated to the exchange of information between universities, businesses, and the local government.
The platform is the initiative of the Municipality of Szczecin and part of the Academic Szczecin project. Its aim is to foster integration within the academic community and other sectors.
The kooperacja.szczecin.eu platform offers a number of benefits for students, universities, and businesses.
  • Students and prospective university candidates can explore the academic offerings of Szczecin-based universities in one convenient location, discover potential employers, and seize internship and apprenticeship opportunities. Additionally, they can gain insights into the outlook and trends of the local labor market.
  • Universities have the opportunity to collectively showcase their programs to high school graduates, engage business practitioners in their projects, and customize their educational offerings to meet the needs of entrepreneurs.
  • Businesses have the opportunity to meet their future qualified employees, leverage the scientific expertise and commercial offerings of the university, and articulate their expectations regarding knowledge and skills acquired by graduates.
