RES IndustryGreen energy for the region
The province of West Pomerania is a national leader in renewable energy, primarily due to its rapid development of electricity generation facilities. Its industrial tradition and waterfront location naturally favor the creation of large-scale green energy projects.
For investors, wind conditions in planned locations for wind turbines are crucial. In this respect, Western Pomerania is one of the best locations in Poland. Additionally, the region is part of the Central European Province with geothermal energy, oil, and gas resources, which covers 32% of Europe's area. This province includes three geothermal districts in Poland: Szczecin-Łódź, Pomerania, and the pre-Sudetic region, offering significant development opportunities. Furthermore, solar energy resources in the province surpass those of other renewable energy sources, providing even greater potential for sustainable energy projects.
The power industry in West Pomerania employs nearly 5,500 people, ranking the region ninth nationwide. With the upcoming launch of wind farm projects, the renewable energy industry, particularly wind power, will experience significant transformation, directly contributing to the development of the coastal regions.
